Patient Rights and Responsibilities

As one of the most advanced hospitals in Japan, we provide optimum healthcare upon mutual trust with our patients, respecting patient dignity and autonomy.

Patient Rights

  1. You have the right to receive safe and quality healthcare.
  2.  You have the right to be well-informed of your illness and treatment.
  3. You have the right to consent to or refuse examination and treatment at your own will.
  4. You have the right to seek a second opinion on your care from another doctor or medical institution.
  5. You have the right to have your medical records kept strictly confidential.
  6. You have the right to request disclosure of your medical records.

Patient Responsibilities

  1. You are responsible for providing information on your own health.
  2. You are responsible for participating in your own healthcare by collaborating with our staffs in order to receive safe healthcare.
  3. You are responsible for following the rules and instructions of our hospital.
  4. You are responsible for paying for the care you received.

*If you fail to fulfill the above responsibilities, you may not be provided treatment at our hospital.

You may be asked to cooperate and take part in our education, training, and research.
